Met a guy through internet

As a civilian living in New Hampshire, (where very little happens), and a 54 year old single woman, living with her 2 grown boys, I decided to give Match.com a try. Days before it was to expire I was contacted by a man who is serving in Afghanistan (Army). Widower for 2 years, he decided it was time to look around and see Match.com and saw my profile and contacted me. He didn't have a photo, but we chatted and have become very close, even though we are miles apart. He sent me some photos, and called me once for just a few minutes. We have chatted almost every day since, exchanging information and getting to know eachother.
He has a son in Ghana, living with a grandmother, because no family mamber could take care of his 16 year old son. This son has to go to a neighbor's house for food and use a computer. Father in Afghanistan is worried about his son, conditions, food and safety. He asked me to send his son money, but I said I could not. Now he would like me to take care of his son, sending him here to live with me until he can come home, which is soon,( he is retiring in the next 2 months or so. I have strong feelings for this man, but I have questions of the validity of this son and what he is asking me to do for him.
Does someone have an idea?

This has every sign of a classic Internet romance scam. Visit the site www.internet-love-scams.org. See if your paramour's nom-de-plum is listed in their scammer database. There is no way this guy's legit. You are being played. Sorry for the bad news.
