Hello, Mr. Snell!

Thanks very much for reading Military Authority.

I do have some content coming up VERY soon that addresses long term care for military families at length.

The bottom line: TRICARE does NOT - I say again, NOT - cover long term care. To get long term care coverage, you either have to buy your own insurance plan in the private market, get it from a civilian employer (either your own employer or your spouse's employer), or get it through the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (http://www.opm.gov/insure/ltc/)

More to come in the coming days.

Thanks again for reading, and stay tuned.

NWIP / Military ID and Tricare are 2 different thngis. You need a new ID card and if you are over 21 then you need to get her proof that you are a student. To get one you need a Form DD1172 and a Power of Attorney from her to go get one from the closest Pass
