Air National Guard Bonus and Incentive Overview


The Air National Guard offers cash signing bonuses and education incentives to join. The Air National Guard may pay a combined bonus of up to $20,000.

Air National Guard Cash Bonuses
Applicants who enlist in select career fields or jobs may be eligible to receive a $15,000 signing bonus upon completion of training. Contact an Air National Guard recruiter for the most current listing of career fields offering this bonus.

Air National Guard Education Incentives
Applicants with existing student loans when they enlist may be able to receive up to $20,000 as part of the Student Loan Repayment program. Eligible current ANG members who extend their enlistment for at least six years may also qualify for the SLR program.

The Montgomery G.I. Bill - Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR)
The Montgomery GI Bill – Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR) is a tuition assistance program that pays a stipend of up to $309/month while attending an approved school full time. This can also be used in addition to the 100% Federal Tuition Assistance Program and the Air National Guard GI Bill Kicker.

The Air National Guard College Fund or (MGIB-SR) GI Bill Kicker
The Air National Guard College Fund (a.k.a. GI Bill Kicker) is paid as a stipend of up to $350/month (up to 36 months) while attending college or an approved technical school.
