Tailhook Educational Foundation Scholarship

The Tailhook Educational Foundation provides and administers numerous merit-based scholarships to children and grandchildren of carrier based service members. Thousands of dollars are given every year to students to help support the educational goals of the decedents of those who’ve served.

Applicants must be the child or grandchild of a Navy or Marine Corps aviator, flight officer, or aircrewman; or a service member that has served on board a U.S. Navy’s aircraft carrier ship’s company or airwing. In addition, the applicant must be attending or accepted to an accredited university or college. Applications and information for specific scholarships are only available on the Foundation’s website from January 1st through March 15th (the date the scholarship applications are due).

In addition to the scholarships, the Tailhook Educational Foundation provides The Hook, a scholarly journal about naval aviation, to NROTC and NJROTC units across the country. Donations to this 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations may be made online.
