Calculating Your Concurrent Retirement and Disability Pay (CRDP) Rate

Start with Your Current VA disability Compensation Waiver. Subtract the CRDP "Table Rate." Then multiply by the current CRDP “Phase Out” percentage. Because of the individual nature of CRDP compensation and Disability compensation values, a simple CRDP payment rate table that applies to everyone is not available.

It is important to note that qualified retirees may not receive an amount that exceeds the total of their military retirement pay and their VA disability compensations combined.

Once full phase-in is complete in 2014, qualified retirees will receive both military retirement pay and VA disability compensation concurrently.

Concurrent receipt is automatic. If you qualify, you will automatically see an increase in your monthly retirement check.
